Shenandoah Shawl
|
SHENANDOAH,
Daughter-of-the-Stars
This stole/throw is inspired by the beauty of the
Shenandoah River and Valley. The grandeur of its Blue Ridge Mountains
and the bounty of its meadows and pastures can easily be seen in
the Aran motifs of its panels. Shown in Berroco's Wensleydale Long
Wool in a dusky blue, so reminiscent of the blue mist from the distant
mountains. Blue ribbon winner at the Montgomery County Fair 2007.

Thistle and Rose Shawl
|
Thistle
and Rose
The
one thing this beautiful flower and weed have in common is their
ability to be prickly, but both add beauty to the countryside. A
triangular shawl with panels of Thistle Leaf and Rosebud Lace. It
is made of 100 % alpaca in a color called "Thistle." It
has a very Victorian look and was created in fond memory of a summer
garden where my mother read to me about flower Fairies.
